It’s almost that time of year again: people are waiting on their cellphones and laptops for tickets to go on sale. With so many concerts happening in The Bay Area, where do you start? Here are the concerts, festivals, and bands to rock out to this spring in the Bay Area and beyond.
Walk the Moon
Check out Walk the Moon at the Nob Hill Masonic Center on March 14th for some pop/indie rock. Their concert will get the entire audience dancing and be a blissful night of sun-drenched vocals. Ticket prices start at $43.
Noise Pop Festival
The Noise Pop Festival is San Francisco’s best indie music, arts, and film festival, and has been hosting emerging artists for 23 years now. Many artists that have appeared have grown to great success like The White Stripes, Death Cab for Cutie, and Modest Mouse. Live performances will take place from February 20th to March 1st throughout the San Francisco area. BottleRock Napa Valley 2015
The three-day festival takes place this year on Memorial Day weekend (May 29-31). This festival has the best of music, wine, and beer. Headliners include Snoop Dog, Cage the Elephant, Passion Pit, No Doubt, and Foster the People. The guitar and vocal stylings of Gipsy Kings on Sunday are sure to impress. DONAROO
The Campus Activities Board is hosting their hottest headliner yet at DONAROO this year. On February 7th, G-Eazy will take the stage at USF’s annual concert that blows the roof off of Koret. 25-year-old Oakland native will be performing for the Dons, rapping from his debut album These Things Happen. I’m really looking forward to him rhyming to “Far Alone,” his single with fellow Bay Area rapper E-40. Canadian DJ A-Trak–a former Kanye West tour artist–will also be spinning on Saturday night. Tickets are no longer on sale for DONAROO but ticket distribution takes place this week.
