women’s Basketball: Dons Vanquish Pacific to Advance

The women’s basketball team headed to Las Vegas last week to participate in the WCC tournament. USF had a good enough record in the WCC to bypass the first round and go straight to the quarterfinals. men’s Basketball: Dons Declaw Powercats, Mauled by Bulldogs

This past weekend the Dons were busy at the WCC tournament held at the Orleans in Las Vegas. The Dons claimed victory in the first round 62-58 against the University of the Pacific (12-19, 4-11 WCC) but fell to 81-72 in the quarterfinals to Gonzaga (30-2, 17-1 WCC). Womens basketBALL: USF Ends Season On High Note

The Dons closed out the 2015 regular season with two wins at home. On Saturday USF faced off against Pacific who they beat handily by a score of 91-79. men’s Basketball: Bounce Back Finish

The Dons (13-17, 7-11 WCC) finished their final home game like they did their season, strong. Senior night, on Saturday the 28th, went exactly as the team would have wanted. Senior guard Kruize Pinkin’s 18 points helped USF triumph over the University of the Pacific Tigers (12-18, 4-14 WCC) to wrap up their regular season, 65-55. Just a few nights before, on Thursday against Saint Mary’s (21-8, 13-5), they unfortunately fell victim to hot shooting and found themselves on the losing end 53-84. Women’s Basketball: The Last Home Stand

The women’s basketball team battled it out at War Memorial Gym against Pepperdine (8-20, 3-14 WCC) last Saturday but stumbled even with a double-double effort from senior guard Taj Winston (14 points, 13, rebound and 2 assists).
