Sophomore design major
“College is the time to really find youtself. So go out, do something that scares you, make mistakes, and take your failures as experience to better your future. Four years may seem like a long time, but it really isn’t. So it’s important that you make it last. Get involved your freshmen year, make connections, and hopefully make a difference. It’s really important that you try everything and gain as much experiences as possible starting now.”

“Don’t let fear hold you back. It’s easy to assume that you won’t do well in a class or in a major because it seems too hard or because other people have more experience than you do, but everyone has to start from somewhere. You can do it!”

“Starting college is a great time to meet all sorts of awesome new people and I encourage all freshmen to put themselves out there. But you should always remember that you have no obligation to stay around people who make you feel inferior. Staying with people who don’t make you feel good about yourself is simply a waste of your time.”

“College is a time to learn, but not just in your classes. In your years here, you will learn a lot about yourself; who you are and who you want to become. Don’t waste your time following the paths of other people; do what you think is best for you. Where you end up may surprise you. All in all, work hard, but don’t forget to have fun either. ”

“One of the best things about USF is the fact that San Francisco is our campus. So be sure to get out and explore the city every once and a while. Don’t just be a potato hiding inside your dorm room.”
