Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
A new era of USF Basketball begins this Friday with our Women and Men’s Basketball Teams tipping off in an exciting doubleheader at the Sobrato Center at War Memorial Gym. Our defending WCC Women’s Championship Team starts off the evening with a 6:00 PM matchup vs. Sacramento State while our Men’s Team follows with an 8:00 start vs. the University of Illinois-Chicago.
To celebrate the new season, we will be hosting a Pep Rally in front of Gleeson Library at 11:45 on Thursday, November 10th. I hope you can stop by to welcome our new Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches and meet the fantastic young men and women on our basketball teams.
On Friday, November 11th at 5:15 PM, our student group Los Locos will be hosting a tailgate party prior to the Women’s game at the University Center Under-Caf. There will be free food, games, music, and giveaways. At 6:00 PM, Don Francisco, our Band, and Spirit Squad will escort attendees to the high-energy student section entrance to the Doubleheader!
I hope all of you will take advantage of our games this season to show your school pride and to celebrate the many great things that are happening on this campus. I hope you will join us in our goal to make the Sobrato Center at War Memorial Gym the vibrant hub of our campus, a gathering place to represent our university and to recognize the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and staff.
Together we can write a new story that will have love, energy, and enthusiasm at the core of the rebirth of our winning tradition and the celebration of the spirit of the amazing University of San Francisco!
